We all know there is often disparity of women in leadership roles. Thankfully women being appointed in leadership roles is on the rise. Technology, information, and media sectors are leading the way, according to the 2023 Gender Gap report by the World Economic Forum.
Since the pandemic there has been an increased interest in promotions amongst women, that in turn challenges the view that there is a lack of ambition.
Businesses are creating more accessible pathways and eliminating systemic barriers at crucial career junctures, to empower women to realise their leadership potential and enrich organisations with diverse perspectives and innovative approaches.
We also recognise that a diverse workforce can
- Improve workplace relationships and enhance team cohesion, trust, and collaboration, improving productivity and team dynamics
- Cultivate inclusivity in the workplace
- Drive superior performance in areas like initiative-taking, resilience, and self-development, alongside strengths in driving results
According to KPMG’s 2023 Advancing the Future of Women in Business survey of 1,500 executive women, 79% said they prioritize wellness – including everything from scheduling self-care and spending quality time with family and friends to setting boundaries around work.
In line with our commitment to Diversity & inclusion, eSift host Women in Leadership events at exclusive venues including Fortnum & Mason, Harvey Nicols, LK Bennet and SpaceNK. These events enable like-minded women in the HR & Talent field to network and partake in self-development activities delivered by Ines Wichert of Talupp.
“For the last 5 years these events have grown in popularity because it allows women time to focus on themselves than the challenges they face daily in the workplace. This complimentary event has been described by both our clients and the wider HR/TA community as insightful and refreshing. I am myself a business owner so understand the expectations that are required in a leadership role, so appreciate the value of these events more than anyone.”
Geraldine Cole – Director, eSift.
